What in May? you ask , well of course!

 I have had the ipod crankin' my favorite Holiday tunes or 2 weeks now, I couldn't possibly create for Christmas and not be in the holiday spirit. My family thanks God daily for earbuds although I have been told I sing along very loud and off key, OOPS!

Here is my very first piece of J. Nichelle Holiday 2010.
It is a lovely custom piece for sweet Joy!

I did a similar piece last Christmas, she liked it so much she sent me the planter
and the elves and I did a little magic in the workshop...

I have been in the studio most of the week getting ready to fill up the etsy shop this weekend....

What a lovely day for a PINK SATURDAY & A GIVE AWAY WINNER! First lets show off the pink darlings I brought out for today, they are precious and one of my favorite finds! and again I beg you please try to keep the drool to a minimum LOL! Ah I think they need names, any ideas?

I was assisted by the lovely Miss SODA ICY POP!

We got all the entries ready and I could not for the life of me after a 2 hour search find the festive red top hat, so we used one of Miss soda icy pop's favorite bowls. Boy was it full thanks so much to all you wonderful friends for entering!

Next she tossed and sprinkled all the entries and made sure all had been thoroughly mixed,

then we pulled down the hat till she couldn't see and reached she did stirringly into the bowl,

And voila she pulled out a name~Ladies and gentlemen drum roll please!

So far this year...

This Holiday Season is here! I'm decorating the upstairs right now and will do a floor at a time to de done by Thanksgiving! I get so excited this time of year do you? I have been gathering a few new pieces for myself & here are some that have already been snatched up this year by you.

Magnificent Pumpkins

Now that I'm almost recovered, we finally made it to the pumpkin patch Sunday. We haven't been since we lived here in California 8 years ago. Sure we had pumpkins in Texas but we never seemed to make it a day to go find a pumpkin patch. Here in Santa Cruz you head North on Hwy 1 along the beautiful coast and there are quite a few amazing patches to visit, this year we decided to go to the grand daddy of them all Aratas just south of Half Moon Bay check it out at http://www.aratapumpkinfarm.com The Hay maze was a good hour of fun and finally of all people my mom led us out. We were saying things like " I HAYt this maze" hahaha " we are on survivor Hay maze" "they should sell apple cider in the maze, I'm thirsty" There was a lot to do & see, the metal sculptures were amazing. The kids are in 6th & 7th now and you just never know when your last trip to the patch will be that they want to go and you still have fun ya know? They picked out some amazing shiny slick pumpkins in aqua & peach colors they are really gorgeous( I would love to glitter them), it was a day I will never forget I was so thankful to have the strength to do the maze and enjoy my family.

Also I have listed a few more goodies up on eBay tonight I will be adding some more tomorrow night or Thursday, so be sure to check back! 

Guess who's back?

Well here she is! A little peek of the first pixie of the season. Done in gorgeous bright shabby colors for  cottage chic lovers. She is just too cute and there are so many more treasures on this piece, can't wait to show off the whole thing...

Well it's about time!

  The workshop is officially open! WooHoo! Never thought it would or could take this long but it is ready for serious use. I am better set up & stocked up this year! This workshop will be open all year except over the Christmas holiday. I finish everything by Thanksgiving weekend including every room of our home getting decorated, so I can enjoy the holidays too. I am truly grateful for all the support & love being shown for J. Nichelle, it has meant the world and gotten me through this year. Well I hope to have some things up in a few weeks so keep an eye out.

California dreamin' no more...

   We finally made it back to Santa Cruz, California my hometown after being in Texas for 7 years. Needless to say I am ecstatic to be home, the pacific heals my soul. So I've been unpacking which at this rate will take years) fixing the large overgrown gardens, going to the beach and rediscovering the wonderful places of my early childhood. I was pretty burnt out after the long move and had the thought of selling off my supplies and creating no more but alas last week a deep yearning for the smell of hot glue and the itch of glitter came back. So now to the task at hand of unpacking enough to have the space to set up the workshop again, and get back to the joy of designing. A bonus it that the new workshop will have an ocean view, what more could I ask for?
