Where is my baby?

Well it finally happened last Friday Miss Soda Icy POP turned 13!
(I made that headband there is a polka dot birthday candle on it)
My baby a teenager? How is this possible I still talk to my best friend from Jr. High,
how can SHE be in Jr. High?
YOU know I still feel like i'm 13 in my head maybe 16 at the oldest most days.
It hits you when you are at the mall and you look around and say "oh I used to have one of those , but mine was fluorescent pink" and your baby picks one out in fluorescent yellow! the 80's revival has really made me feel old, although I think it looks better this time around!
But my baby, what's next, kissing boys, driving, spring break, senior trip and poof off to college? I'm not ready for all of this! I want to pick her up and hold her forever and now it just goes by so fast I can feel her growing up and pulling away and ooooh make it stop!

Have a fabulous day!

Hi Jen! I know EXACTLY how you feel! My girl is going for her masters degree, and has her own apartment; and my son is almost 17!! I don't know how to feel about it, because my head's too busy spinning!... Anyways... a very Happy Birthday to you, Miss Soda Icy Pop!!! ~tina

I know the feeling. It just rips your heart right out of your chest doesn't it? Teenagers can be so fun though and you'll love every (most) new teenage moment with her. Shes adorable! Love you lots, Ash

Hi Jen.. how sweet is this girl! I have 3 girls that went through this right of passage... it goes so fast... someone asked recently, how I made them so independent... my answer... "give them wings and a soft place to land..."

Jenn,

I never had children, but always wanted a girl. However, reading your post does make me think of how much I would have worried about a teen daughter. Don't know if I could have lived through all that worrying. But she is beautiful and am sure she has a good head on her shoulders. Try not to worry too much my friend.
