I know Marzipan, oh but it was airy and delicate and 7 of us ate the whole thing with a fresh pot of decaf. It was gone so quick i didn't even get a picture, I surely was not going to have mine disappear for the sake of a photo!It was sooooo good mom announced that is what she wants for her birthday!

Hubby brought the princess home from Hoffman's bakery cafe next to Pizza my Heart when he picked up our pies, a cheese and a Fort Point, so yummy! (Light Tomato & Pesto Sauce with Roma Tomatoes,Chicken, Ricotta, Sausage, Artichoke, Basil & Herbs. 1st Place 2006 California Pizza Championships) 

after Mr. Fire Snail's baseball game Saturday evening. 4 generations of us sat in the bleacher's and yelled at the ump!

 

Mr. Fire snail is #1 and hubby is in the white shirt..GO ROCKIES!

It was a pleasant Surprise to finish a great day and Hubby scored BIG points!

I think I blog about food maybe a little too much! LOL

Where is my baby?

Well it finally happened last Friday Miss Soda Icy POP turned 13!

(I made that headband there is a polka dot birthday candle on it)

My baby a teenager? How is this possible I still talk to my best friend from Jr. High,

how can SHE be in Jr. High?
YOU know I still feel like i'm 13 in my head maybe 16 at the oldest most days.

 It hits you when you are at the mall and you look around and say "oh I used to have one of those , but mine was fluorescent pink" and your baby picks one out in fluorescent yellow! the 80's revival has really made me feel old, although I think it looks better this time around!

But my baby, what's next, kissing boys, driving, spring break, senior trip and poof off to college? I'm not ready for all of this! I want to pick her up and hold her forever and now it just goes by so fast I can feel her growing up and pulling away and ooooh make it stop!

I am pooped! My baby Miss Soda Icy POP turned 13 on Friday it was an ALL DAY celebration, Mr Fire Snail had his first 2 baseball games this week, I finished my egg swap project, got our sweet girl Bella Bunbun snipped no more pups for her and I cannot even remember the rest it is all a blur!!!

 I do apologize for not visiting and all my sweet blog friends this week I just haven't had time in fact I really don't have the time for this post! I need a vacation! Hee Hee don't we all!

A sweet friend...

Well that Fabulous Miss Tobi Britton over at the Pink Pixie Forest is really something, we agreed to do a pixie bottle brush swap and of course I haven't sent mine yet but I got hers today and oh my I squealed with sheer delight when I opened my Pixie pulling her fairy trees!

How Gorgeous is that!

Then I couldn't stand it and tore open the rest of the package and put up quickly the other Gorgeous trees I won on eBay from her Pink Fairy Cottage store!

Can you see hoe perfect the pink one goes with my Easter? LOVE IT

Ant the aqua and soft green one here just delighted!

And the Fairy Spring tree in all it's loveliness was meant to go in the yard at Mr and Mrs. Hare's!

I am so busy I really don't even have time to be doing this post but I miss you all so much and I had to she the handmade beauty from sweet Tobi.

Early St. Patrick's Day, Rock Climbing, and cupcakes...

So as I sit right now, having just pulled the cupcakes out of the oven, I cringe in terror and anticipation.

Tonight my Grandma is Having St. Patrick's Day, because of everyone schedule this week, corned beef and cabbage as she always does for us rowdy non Irish Italians... Except for Mr. FireSanil he is wanna be Irish, there are leprchauns and clovers in his room year round, Irish nutcrackers, a knit hat with clovers, 5 irish saying t- shirts and and Irish hoodie, etc. you get the picture.... He thought he died and went to heaven when we were in Chicago! He shopped in an Irish store!

Anyway grandma asked me to bring dessert and I've been sick all week and Miss Soda icy pop wanted to make cupcakes really bad so I agreed, but she is at her belay class to get certified to handle the ropes and repel herself in rock climbing.

(this is their first climb ever her descending him ascending)

 The kids started climbing in January and go twice a week, they love it, Miss Soda Icy pop has been a climber since bith, Mr. Fire Snail however has not and had a fear of heights. I had to encouragingly forced him to go the first few weeks, but now he is a spider!

So as I sit here I must confess I cannot bake out of a box! It can bake as long as it is some crazy from scratch recipe but not box mix it always fails so I don't bake much I  just don't have time for all that mess :) So When Miss Soda Icy pop gets home she'll decorate the cup cakes and I pray I haven't ruined them ! The last batch of brownies came out so yucky I was banished from ever trying again!

Almost ready ......

I have been in the studio most of the week getting ready to fill up the etsy shop this weekend....

they are nearly ready, over half way done....

Such eager tenants trying to move in before the place is finished, sheesh!

SPRING Cleaning!

Hi my name is Jennie and I am a messaholic!

phew there i said it out loud. (when I was a teenager sometimes it would be 2ft. deep of clothes and shoes in my room) Not that my living room is ever a mess or unstraightened ( my type A hubby is a neat FREAK) but when I do projects I get so involved it's overwhelming (it only lasts a week at most) but this time my studio was totally out of hand I could no longer move or make anything else! I unpacked 13 boxes of easter supplies that I left in the garage and OH was it something to find space for it all! It was a literal mountain of vintage on my 9ft. table! 6 hrs. later I was sobering up from my mess :)

Sorry there is no before picture that would be WAY too embarrassing! and to some of you this is still to cluttered ( but I do have 3 project going on there) but to me it's 6 GLORIOUS feet of clean wide open space! I might be having a destash sale here soon.
Some day I'll show the uber organized other side of the studio but I had to get this off my chest :)
